Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Knights of Columbus Assumption Council No. 1099, located in Napoleonville, Louisiana. Just twenty-four short years after the Knights of Columbus was granted a charter from the Connecticut Legislature on March 11, 1906, Assumption Council No. 1099 received its charter from the Knights of Columbus National Council. On March 11, 1906, Assumption Council No. 1099 was instituted, thus becoming the fifth oldest council in the State of Louisiana.

Today, worldwide, the Knights of Columbus is the largest society of Catholic men. The Order, bound together by the ideal of Christopher Columbus, the discoverer of the Americas, the one whose hand brought Christianity to the New World, has dedicated themselves to the ideals of Columbianism: Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. The Order has been called “the strong arm of the Church,” and has been praised by popes, presidents and other world leaders, for support of the Church, programs for evangelization and Catholic education, civic involvement and aid to those in need.

Today, locally and ninety-nine years later, Assumption Council No. 1099 continues its rich history of service to Church, community, council, family and youth. The council’s Service Program: “Surge…with Service” is designed to establish the council as an influential and important force within the community.

We, the officers and membership of Knights of Columbus Assumption Council No. 1099 invite you to tour our website. View our History, search through our Council Activities, Programs and Calendar for upcoming events, etc. More information can be found in the contents of our monthly newsletter. In the Membership page you will find information on how you can join our Fraternal Order.

We thank you for visiting and invite you to return often.
